It has been declared the Citrus Growing National Centre, it has got a populatin of over 170000 and it is one of the most dynamic cities in the center of the Mercosur. The physiognomy of the urban area is characterized by its architecture, with a pedestranized shopping area, banks, museums, squares, history and much more... The city has a direct access to the river through sandy or multicolored rocky beaches, including the ones of the biggest artificial lake in Argentina (LAGO DE SALTO GRANDE).

De estilo eclético con reminiscencias francesas en las manzardas de los techos, funciona como Museo Histórico Regional declarado de Interés Nacional, Patrimonio concordiense. Fué construido en 1919 y habitado por Juan Bautista Arruabarrena en ganadero de la zona y miembro fundador de la Sociedad Rural, Club Progreso y Sociedad de Beneficencia de Concordia. Durante varios años funcionó allí, el Comando del Ejército Argentino.
Cuenta aproximadamente con 5000 piezas, entre objetos personales, utencillos, mobiliario, fotografías, colección lítica del Río Uruguay, cerámica jesuítica, Tupi-guaraní, etc.
The style of the building is eclectic, with some French elements in the style of the roof. It houses the Regional History Museum, it has been declared of National Interest and it is included the city's historical heritage.
It was built in 1919 and was the home of Juan Bautista Arruabarrena, a local cattle-breeder who founded the Rural Society, the Progreso Social Club and Concordia's Welfare Society. The building also housed the headquarters of the Argentinian Army for many years. The museum's collection is made up of 5000 pieces, which include personal belongings, utensils, furniture, photographs, a collection of stones from the Uruguay river, Jesuitical and Tupi-Guaraní clay objects, etc.

Puerto / The Docks
Comenzó a funcionar en el año 1904, fue construido en dos niveles debido a las irregulares crecientes del Río Uruguay. La importancia comercial que tuvo Concordia, hasta la finalización de la Primera Guerra Mundial, dió lugar a la instalación de "barrancas".
They were built in two levels, due to the fluctuating river flow. They started working in 1904. Until the end of the First World War, the commercial activity in Concordia was such that large storage sheds had to be built.
Playa "Los Sauces" / "Los Sauces" Beach
Bordeada por gran cantidad de sauces y con arenas finas blancas, es la playa más tradicional de la ciudad, formando parte de la extensa constanera.
Fine sand and willow trees make up this beach, which stretches along the promenade. It is the most traditional one in the city.
"Playa Nebel" / Nebel Beach
Ubicada a 2000 metros aguas arriba del Puerto local. Se destaca por sus afloramientos rocosos de origen basáltico que forman el Salto Chico, antiguo escollo de los navegantes que surcaban las costas del Río Uruguay; motivo de ubicación y de fundación de nuestra ciudad, en principio como Puerto y Villa Comercial.
It is situated 2000m north from the docks. It is characterized by the basaltic rocks that emerge from the river and make up Salto Chico, a reef that blocked the way to the ships that sailed up the river in the past and therefore caused the city to be founded where it is now, to function as a port and trading centre.

PARQUE SAN CARLOS / "SAN CARLOS" PARK
In the north-west of the city there is a 70 hectare (170 acre) natural park.
It is a hilly green area with a gallery-like forest that, reaches to the river coast, from where the cascades known as "Salto Chico" can be seen as they burst into the river's tranquility. The park is sorrunded by a halo of mistery, wich lies mainly in the legend of the ruins of the San Carlos palace.
"LA TORTUGA ALEGRE" BALNEARIO-CAMPING Y PESCA / "LA TORTUGA ALEGRE": BEACH, CAMPING SITE, FISHING SPOT
A 14km del centro de la ciudad y a 1000mts. aguas abajo de la Represa de Salto Grande se encuentra la primera playa a orillas del río Uruguay llamada "La Tortuga Alegre" con una vista panorámica privilegiada de la represa. Es un lugar ideal para pesca de costa y embarcados, con una vegetación exuberante, selvas en galería y playas de fina arena blanca. El paraje cuenta con toda la infraestructura necesaria. Los peces que se encuentran es ésta zona son: patí, boga, dorado, bagre, perca, chafalote, raya, manduví, surubí, manduvá, etc.
Situated 14km away from the city centre, is it the first beach so from the Dam. It extends along the coast of the Uruguay river and water strem called Ayuí grande, which flow in to the river at this point. From this beach you can get excellent panoramic view of the Dam.
It is an ideal place for fishing, both onshore and onboard. It offers luxuriant vegetation, a gallery-like forest and white sandy beaches. The site is provided with all the facilities necessary. The fish found in the area include: patí, boga, dorado, bagre, perch, chafalote, ray, manduví, surubí and manduvá.
DORADOS EN CONCORDIA / DORADO FISHING IN CONCORDIA
En el paraje "La tortuga alegre" la pesca de dorados es abundante, debido a que se encuentra aguas abajo de la Represa Hidroeléctrica de Salto Grande. El dorado de ésta zona es atípico por sus características: corto, ancho y panzón, como lo describen los guías de pesca. El macho pesa hasta 10kg. y las hembras en algunos casos superan los 28kg.; tienen un promedio de vida de 30 a 35 años para llegar a pesar 25kg. Es común en una jornada de pesca extraer hasta 15 dorados.

The dorado found in this area is quiet atypicla in its characteristics: it is short and wide and has a "belly", as described in fishing guides. The male weighs upto 10kg and the females in same cases weigh over 28kg; they live 30 to 35 years on average to reach a weight of 25kg. About 15 pieces are usually caught in a single fishing outing.

TERMAS / HOT SPRING
Entre bosques de eucaliptos y pinos nacen las aguas termales, con temperaturas que fluctúan entre los 37° y 42°C. El sistema acuífero es denominado "Guaraní" (es la mayor reserva de agua dulce de Sudamérica). Sus aguas son el complemento ideal para recuperar energías y mantenerse saludable en forma natural. En Concordia existen 2 complejos termales que poseen diversos servicios: gastronomía, hoteles, cabañas, bungalows, spa y actividades complementarias. Desde la ciudad se puede acceder a cualquiera de los centros termales en un promedio de 20 minutos en vehículo. Uno de los complejos se encuentra ubicado cerca de la Represa de Salto Grande a orillas del Lago. En el año 2011 se ha presentado un proyecto para la realización de un parque termal acuático.

REPRESA HIDROELÉCTRICA BINACIONAL DE SALTO GRANDE / SALGRANDE BINATIONAL HYDROELECTRIC DAM
A sólo 18km de la ciudad, en el paraje denominado Ayuí, se levanta la Represa Hidroeléctrica de Salto Grande, fuente de generación de energía eléctrica. Una obra de ingeniería binacional coronada por un Puente Internacional ferrovial que une a las ciudades de Salto (R.O.U) y de Concordia (R.A), facilitando el tránsito no sólo al turismo sino también para el comercio y el MERCOSUR. El mismo presenta un paso aduanero habilitado todo el año.

LAGO DE SALTO GRANDE / SALTO GRANDE LAKE
Con 144km de longitud en su extensión, es el lago artificial más grande de nuestro país y América Latina, su conformación irregular da lugar a la formación de penínsulas y bahías. Playas tranquilas de finas arenas blancas y piedras multicolores, son rodeadas por bosques de eucaliptos y pinos. S encuentra bordeado de senderos y caminos que se internan en sus eucaliptales y pinares o terminan en playas alternándolo con embarcaderos y puertos pequeños. Se practican deportes naúticos durante todo el año: esquí, kayac, velas, yachting, remo, tablas, velerismo; realizándose competencias nacionales e internacionales. Esta zona cuenta con toda la infraestructura en hostelería, spa, gastronomía y campings, para recibir al turista.
